This 50’ long 9’ wide boat weighs in at 23000lbs. It drives and accelerates like a much smaller boat and has a very nimble feel. We did the original build of this boat for a client with very specific needs: Rough water capability, reliability, fuel efficiency, comfort, and an effortless 60mph cruise. This is the only 50 Nor-Tech with Diesel power using the Mercruiser #6 drives (they are used on the high horsepower gasoline engines). Although expensive to build using these drives, all of the ill handling issues of the Arneson drives and lack of trim leverage are eliminated. Its size, weight, bottom design, and exceptionally strong hull make for a very good rough water ride. Without a doubt it is the best Diesel powered 50 Nor-Tech ever built.
